There’s this subtle but wonderful concept that emphasizes the power of spirituality. After attaining a certain state of spiritual being, a person is said to achieve a state that is beyond normal human perception. This enables him to practice some techniques that a normal human might never think of.

Yes! This one can be heavy to digest for some, but we need to curtain off our ancient culture. Spiritual teachings say a devotee reaches a superior state of cosmic consciousness after a lot of persistence, devotion, and meditation. It is believed that a person can be cured by no-touch healing by this method. And that person need not be in the proximity of the practitioner. Ancient Indian scriptures and biographies of some monks have already mentioned these experiences.

The metaphysical method of physical transfer of pain or disease is known to highly advanced yogis. Yogis or Saints who can achieve a certain superconscious state are able to practice this type of healing.

The law of karma(spiritual equivalence) does not let any disease vanish as if it was never there. Thus someone has to suffer. Therefore, the disease is wholly or partly conveyed to the saint's body.

A saint can harm himself to heal his devotees. By a mysterious technique, the practitioner unites his brain and astral vehicle with that of an enduring person.

Just as your friend can help you carry some of your workloads in difficult times, the same way a master is believed to carry his disciple’s suffering. As a consequence, the master has to sacrifice his physical wealth to lighten the misery of his disciples.

But a saint who can perform the physical transfer of disease knows how to achieve samadhi. Samadhi is a state of deep yogic joy. In simpler terms, it is a soundless state of breathlessness. Thus attaining samadhi helps a practitioner nullify the impacts of the disease on his own self.

Yes! this all sounds Mindbending but there are people who have shared their experiences of rehabilitation through this method.

The well-known Christian saint, Therese Neumann was familiar with this elusive method. She had once transferred a throat disease of one of the priests to herself, as she wanted to minimize his suffering.

Can this be related to Reiki?

Yes, Reiki also has some aspects by which a person can be healed from distance. And even today we can find that the Reiki culture is intact and is practiced by groups of people worldwide. But I haven’t heard, that the practitioner himself has to go through suffering to heal others in this form of healing.
